What’s an EdTech Maker Space?

The EdTech Maker Space (ETMS) is a service learning model in which teachers learn new tech tools and teaching concepts and apply them as they generate reusable, quality open education resources. The EdTech Maker Space process is designed to add a layer of engagement around teacher professional development through awareness that the effort put forth by participants will result in meaningful contribution—reusable learning objects—to other educators.

In this video, hear Dr. Jennifer Maddrell and Rachel Riggs talk about the foundations of the ETMS, tips for facilitating an ETMS, and some examples of past maker spaces.
