Building evidence for technology-supported learning.

The EdTech Center @ World Education focuses on research that builds knowledge about how technologies and their use can be optimized to support learning for children, youth, and adults who have interrupted formal education, are new to learning online, and need supportive digital skill building opportunities.

We work with platform developers in field testing projects, develop educational technology applications that align with the needs of learners, and unearth use scenarios that highlight promising features or limitations of apps in different settings. We engage in empirical qualitative and mixed-methods research to better understand how people use technology to learn, teach, and engage in the world. The technical assistance that we design and deliver based on this research has positioned us as education leaders known for our innovative digital approaches and solutions that support foundational skills development.
