Hear Helaine W. Marshall, from Long Island University-Hudson, introduces a lesson model that teachers can use for remote education. The Synchronous Online Flipped Learning Approach (SOFLA) blends flipped learning with online instruction. In the SOFLA model, learners independently complete online lessons that provide initial instruction on key concepts. Then students attend class virtually (through Zoom or something similar) with their teacher and other students where they build their understanding through collaboration, discussion, and application.
EdTech Strategy sessions are an initiative of the IDEAL Consortium.
