Alison Ascher Webber

Alison Ascher Webber develops and leads innovative projects for the EdTech Center that advance digital equity and leverage technology to increase the reach and impact of education and workforce programs. Alison co-directs Digital US, an initiative between over 20 national organizations to close digital skills gaps by 2030. She also advises mobile learning and ICT4D initiatives including for the National Immigration Forum, UNESCO in Cambodia, and the Employment Technology Fund @ JFF. Previous roles include Education Director at mobile learning company Cell-Ed and Associate Director at Avasant Foundation advancing youth employment and empowerment.
As first Executive Director of the Leadership Training and Education Fund (LTEF), Alison helped design and grow a program for janitors and other building service workers in California into the award-winning Building Skills Partnership (BSP). Alison remains with BSP as a Board member, guiding the statewide training collaboration between the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), over 140 building service employers, their client corporations, and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).
Alison holds a Master’s in Education from U.C. Berkeley and a certificate in English language teaching. She has studied and worked in Latin America and volunteers to support immigrants and refugees to the San Francisco Bay Area.
